Other Ministry Opportunities

Flower Ministry Team
 

Prepares flowers for the altar each Sunday and prepares those same flowers from worship to be delivered to individuals who are sick or home bound.

Memorial Reception Committee
 

Members host a reception in Bailey Hall following each memorial service.

Catch-A-Ride Ministry
 

Members provide transportation to and from church on Sunday mornings and special events for church members who are unable to drive.

Prayer Team members receive prayer requests gathered from pew cards and contact from family and friends and lift up those needs in prayer.

Provides notes, phone calls, and visits for those who are ill, living in care facilities, or unable to connect with our community of faith for a period of time.

Exercise Classes

 

SIMC offers, to church and non-members alike,  two monthly exercise programs to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Classes are led by Elena Bennett, a professional fitness instructor and personal trainer certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, with over 25 years of teaching experience. A resident of the Landings since 2017, she also is a member of SIMC.

Mat Pilates
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays | 9:15 am - 10:10 am

This class features a series of traditional Pilates floor exercises designed to strengthen core muscles, stretch and tone the body, and improve posture. Using a mat for cushioning and support, moves are adapted according to the participant's fitness level and abilities. Participants must be able to lie down and stand up from the floor.

Sit-Fit! 
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays | 10:15 am - 11:10 am

Gain strength, stability and flexibility all while exercising from a chair! This class features easy-to-perform exercises designed for beginners/intermediates, as well as those with balance, joint and movement issues. 

Cost:

  $5.00 per class for 8 or more classes

$6.25 per class for less than 8 classes

Payment may be submitted at the first class of each month.
