With this sense of responsibility and compassion for the youngest members of God’s family, our nursery operates as a vital ministry at SIUMC. We are a “Safe Sanctuary” church, meaning screening and safety procedures are in place for our workers, volunteers, facility, and—most importantly—the little ones for whom we care. In 2010, our nursery was fully renovated with all new and fresh furniture, toys, books and supplies. With gentle colors, a Noah’s Ark theme, infant and toddler resources emphasizing Jesus’ love, and the attention of caring adults, those 0–3 year-olds have a good home in our nursery!
