DO What He Says
BELIEVE Who He Is
LOVE Who He Loves
SHARE What He Did
GO Where He Leads
This is an engaging, strategic, fun-filled week to set the tone for the Very Best Summer (VBS).
It starts with the Bible and utilizes simple, memorable Bottom Lines to help students remember how God’s Word fits into their everyday lives.
Using examples from across the New Testament including the Resurrection, Paul’s conversion and Pentecost, kids will learn to move forward in their own journey of faith.
VBS is currently at capacity but a waiting list is available.

Hold onto yer horses and get ready for a true tale from the Good Book like you’ve never heard it before!
Jonah, the prophet of Israel sends and receives telegraphs to and from the Living God on behalf of the people, and all is fine, until the Lord tells him to go to that “dirty, rotten, flea-bitten foreign city called Ninevah” and preach against it! So, wouldn’t ya’ know it, instead of boardin’ the east-bound train to Ninevah, Jonah hops a west-bound stage to Tarshish!
When a big storm comes up on the prairie, threatening to blow the stage over, the driver rolls the dice and up comes Jonah’s number as the one who must be angering “the gods.” Jonah confesses that he is running the opposite direction from what Jehovah instructed him, and he is thrown off the stage and lands in a … well (say it with yer best cowboy twang!). No, not a whale … an old, abandoned well, where he languishes for 3 days and 3 nights. And … you know what happens from there! Once again, like in all Little Big Stuff musicals, it all points to Jesus, and the Good News of the gospel.
Volunteer hours provided!
This all-day camp for our teens focuses serving those in need here in our local community. Each day, we will gather at the church for a time of teaching and interaction to learn more about where we will be working, and then fan into the community for a full day of serving. Activities will range from relational interactions at a local nursing home to simple construction and painting projects. Together, we will make an impact on those we serve as we share the light of Christ in our community. The week will also include an optional mid-week overnight campout for our students at SIUMC's new open-air pavilion.
